Hysteroscopy Treatment in Delhi
Hysteroscopy is a procedure that lets a doctor look directly inside the uterus using a thin, lit scope passed through the cervix — no incisions needed. At Crystal Fertility and IVF Center, it's used both to diagnose uterine conditions and, in the same sitting, to treat many of them.
When Hysteroscopy Is Recommended
- Investigating repeated implantation failure or recurrent miscarriage
- Uterine polyps or fibroids that project into the uterine cavity
- Intrauterine adhesions (Asherman's syndrome)
- A uterine septum or other structural abnormality seen on ultrasound
- Abnormal uterine bleeding, where the cause isn't clear from imaging alone
Diagnostic vs. Operative Hysteroscopy
A diagnostic hysteroscopy is a quick procedure mainly for viewing the uterine cavity, often done without general anesthesia. An operative hysteroscopy, used to remove a polyp, fibroid or adhesion, takes longer and typically needs anesthesia, but is still usually a day-care procedure with same-day discharge.
It's often performed before an IVF cycle if the uterine cavity needs to be confirmed clear first, since an untreated structural issue can affect embryo implantation.
