ICSI Treatment in Dwarka - Crystal Fertility and IVF Center
ICSI treatment in Dwarka is usually brought up once a semen analysis shows a count, motility or morphology issue significant enough that conventional IVF fertilization is unlikely to work on its own. Our Sector 23 lab runs ICSI on-site; for the broader comparison with standard IVF, see our ICSI treatment page.
What ICSI Actually Changes
The egg retrieval, stimulation and embryo transfer steps are identical to a standard IVF cycle. The difference is at the fertilization stage: instead of placing eggs and sperm together and letting fertilization happen on its own, an embryologist injects a single selected sperm directly into each mature egg under a microscope.
When ICSI Is Recommended
- Low sperm count or poor motility
- Abnormal sperm morphology
- A prior IVF cycle where fertilization failed or was unusually low
- Sperm retrieved surgically (such as through TESA/PESA)
- Using previously frozen sperm with limited quantity
If your semen analysis is within normal range, we'd typically recommend standard IVF fertilization rather than ICSI by default — it's an added lab step, not an automatic upgrade.
A Local Lab Matters Here
Because ICSI is performed on eggs within hours of retrieval, having the embryology lab in the same building as the procedure room — which is the case at our Dwarka Sector 23 clinic — removes any transport step between retrieval and fertilization.
