Ovarian Reserve Testing in Dwarka
Ovarian reserve testing gives an estimate of how many eggs remain, which shapes decisions around timing, IVF protocol dosing, or whether egg freezing is worth considering sooner. Our Dwarka Sector 23 clinic runs both parts of this test. For the full explanation, see our ovarian reserve testing guide.
The Two Parts of This Test
- AMH blood test — can be drawn on any day of your cycle, gives a hormone-based estimate of reserve
- Antral follicle count (AFC) — a transvaginal ultrasound scan, usually done early in the cycle, counting visible small follicles
Together, these give a more complete picture than either test alone. A low result doesn't mean pregnancy isn't possible — it mainly affects how we plan stimulation protocols if you go for IVF.
When to Get Tested
Worth considering if you're over 35 and planning pregnancy, have a family history of early menopause, have had ovarian surgery in the past, or are deciding between trying naturally a bit longer versus moving to fertility treatment.
